Found Mickey Welsh, a former member of the band laser, was found dead in a hotel room in Chicago yesterday. He was 40 years old.

The cause of death is unknown at this time, but the Chicago Tribune quoted authorities who believe drugs were involved.
Welsh, a native of Burlington, Vermont with the implementation of laser 1998-2001. The group said that he left after suffering a nervous breakdown and Welsh at a later time to a successful living as a painter.
